Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. Her best-known role is Skyler White in the AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. Her passion for acting at Preparatory school before moving to Ohio with her family in the late 1970s. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons performing in Chicago theatre before moving on to television and film. Anna was cast as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. Anna continued to be an actor in few TV series and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she was cast in a regular role as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years in Deadwood's second season. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood was also an integral the highlights of her career. Gunn has also appeared on the stage for David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio series that was released in 2022. The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the story of Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final days of his life.
